Define Communication Settings Between the Endpoint and the ESM Server
The Traps agent on the endpoint communicates with the
ESM Server at specific intervals by sending heartbeat messages and
reports and by querying for unknown hash verdicts. Traps stops trying
to reach the server if communication attempts fail for a period
of time that exceeds a timeout value and Traps resumes attempts
to reestablish communication with the server after a grace period.
To modify the default values for the heartbeat cycle, reports
interval, timeout value, and/or grace period, create an agent settings
rule on the ESM Console using the following workflows:
