Learn how
Data Security
makes it easy to change a data violation status.
This feature is not applicable for the Cloud Management Console.
Violation management actions are available for supported SaaS apps. As a part of your violation management workflow, you’ll assess new data violations that the service discovers and take action to reflect the new status of the data violation. All data violations default to
Open
status. The action you choose results in a change to the
Resolution Type
for the data violation. You can filter on this status at any time.
There are two ways to change the status of data violations:
  • Directly from SaaS Security web interface—Enables you to view all data proactively.
  • Indirectly from Slack, if you configured Admin alerts—Informs you of data violations immediately.
When you manage data violations, status changes and notes are appended to the data violation record for auditing purposes. All administrators can view these changes.
