Cheat Sheet: Remote Browser Isolation

Use Remote Browser Isolation to isolate and transfer browsing activity away from your end user's managed devices and corporate networks to Prisma Access, which secures and isolates potentially malicious code and content within their platform.
Where Can I Use This? What Do I Need?
  • Prisma Access (Managed by Strata Cloud Manager)
  • Prisma Access (Managed by Panorama)
Remote Browser Isolation (RBI) by Palo Alto Networks is a service that isolates and transfers browsing activity away from your users' devices and corporate networks to an outside entity such as Prisma Access, which secures and isolates potentially malicious code and content within their platform, and separates any threats from direct connections to end-user devices and networks.
Natively integrated with Prisma Access, RBI allows you to easily apply isolation profiles to your existing security policies. Isolation profiles can restrict browser controls such as copy and paste actions, keyboard inputs, and sharing options like uploading, downloading, and printing files to keep sensitive data and information secure. All traffic in isolation undergoes analysis and threat prevention provided by Cloud-Delivered Security Services (CDSS) such as Advanced Threat Prevention, Advanced WildFire, Advanced URL Filtering, DNS Security, and SaaS Security.

Cheat Sheet: Remote Browser Isolation (Strata Cloud Manager)

Set up Remote Browser Isolation (RBI) to isolate and transfer browsing activity away from your users' devices and corporate networks to Prisma Access.
Remote Browser Isolation (RBI) creates a no-code execution isolation environment for a user's local browser, so that no website code and files are executed on their local browser.

Get Started

Here's how to get up and running with RBI.
  1. Check that your license covers RBI.
  2. Enable decryption so that Prisma Access can decrypt and inspect traffic to determine what needs to be isolated according to the policies that you configured.
  3. Configure RBI to set up a theme for the remote browsing session, define what browser actions are permitted, and defined which website categories that your users access in isolation.
